I understand that Oxford East MP Andrew Smith has sent out thousands of greetings cards for the end of the holy month of Ramadan to his Muslim constituents, emblazoned with the now faded red rose of Labour, plus the legend 'Eid Mabarak' (Blessed Eid).
Perhaps the idea is to reinforce Labour support for the Jamie Oliver campaign to improve our diets.
Thanking Muslims for their abstinence during Ramadan points the way for all our huge, obese citizens.
I recently sent an email to Mr Smith, asking why we had not heard him speak out over the great veil controversy.
I await his reply. But now I understand the delay - he's worn himself out sending all those cards.
I hope he won't forget to send Christmas (sorry, festive) cards to all those beleaguered Christians in Pakistan.
It appears Oxford Muslims were not quite so easily taken in.
Taj Hargey, chairman of the Muslim Education Centre of Oxford, apparently sees it as a somewhat cynical ploy to attract Muslim voters.
What a dangerous two-faced game is being played by this wretched Labour Party.
