A GANG tried to rob a 60-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy in separate attacks in Oxford.
In the first, a 60-year-old man was walking along Campbell Road, at about 8.45pm on Monday, when a small, modern, black four-door car pulled up alongside him.
Police said there were four black men in the car. Two got out and demanded money from the man and pushed him. They left with nothing, but the man was left shaken by the incident.
At about 7.20pm on Thursday, a 17-year-old boy was walking along Lytton Road, when a dark-coloured, hatchback car pulled up alongside him.
A white man and a black man got out of the car. The white man covered his face using a ski mask.
The car was being driven by a third man who did not get out of the car. They demanded money from the boy but he managed to run away from them and they left with nothing.
Police are looking into the possibility that the incidents are linked.
Anyone who saw either of these incidents or has information should contact Det Con Joanne Martin on 0845 8 505 505. If you do not wish to speak to police call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
