A hustings-style debate is due to place in the town next month, to try to drum up excitement for the Thames Valley Police Crime Commissioner role.
The event, from 7pm to 8pm, is due to take place at Didcot Civic Hall on October 11 and has been organised by the charity Victim Support.
No speakers have yet been confirmed.
The Liberal Democrats confirmed their candidate is John Howson, a magistrate who lives in Oxford.
Tim Starkey, a barrister from Amersham, is Labour’s choice. West Berkshire District Council member Anthony Stansfeld is the Tory candidate, while Gurcham Singh and Headington gun collector Martin Young have put themselves forward as independent candidates.
