I HAVE recently returned from shopping in Kidlington High Dtreet.
The time was 11am and should have been vehicle free. I, along with every other pedestrian, take our lives in our hands every time we enter the High Street, as traffic is still driving both ways and parking where they like, including the pavements.
We are now in September and so it is at least four or five months since it was so-called ‘pedestrianised’.
What is Cherwell District Council doing along with the Highways Department?
I have been verbally abused on several occasions for asking motorists to obey the pedestrianisation of the High Street.
I await in hopeful anticipation of some progress from the council and Highways Department.
D. WYSE (Mrs), Chorefields, Kidlington
