A TOUCH of glamour has found its way to an Oxford bathroom store.
The new showroom manager at City Plumbing Supplies on the Horspath Industrial Estate in Cowley is none other than former Miss England Eleanor Glynn.
Ms Glynn, 26, who lives in the city, swapped parading in front of international panels of beauty contest judges for helping customers choose a new bathroom – but sees the job as a new challenge.
She said: “I didn’t know whether I wanted to go to university or do an apprenticeship when this job came up.
“There is a lot of product knowledge required and I’m very interested in the design aspect. I’m learning a lot. I would like to study more in the area of architecture and design.”
Ms Glynn sings in her own band, Eleanor, and has been recording with Oxford electronic band Sikorski.
Ms Glynn won the Miss Oxford and Miss England titles in 2006 before going on to compete in Miss World and Miss Europe.
