Indeed, until the burglary on Monday, the store was planning to introduce computers into its premises for local people to access the Internet.

Clearly, that initiative has now had to be shelved.

However, assuming that the kind of people who would steal from an organisation such as this are now likely to feel emboldened by their pitiful act of derring-do, they will doubtless steal again.

And next time, their target may be even ‘softer’, even less able to recover.

As such it is vital anyone who knows anything about this crime should report that information to the police.

Stealing from an organisation designed specifically to help and improve the community is nothing but an empty, sick act of cowardice, callousness and stupidity.

Let’s just hope the culprits are shopped before they start kidding themselves that they really are the elite of the criminal fraternity instead of its most feeble-minded...
