Having read your report about how Thames Valley Police are enforcing (or not enforcing) the 20mph speed limit in St Giles’, I am prompted to ask a question through your letters page.
Is Thames Valley Police desperately trying to show the public it is not doing it just to raise money, or is it trying to say the 20mph limit is too low and it should be 30mph? Personally I think to have 20mph speed limit on a road as wide and open as St Giles’ is ridiculou.
But, as we all know, what councillors know about roads and road safety you could write on the back of a postage stamp and still have space left to write your shopping list.
