OXFORD

  • Mark Rafferty, 33, of no fixed address, admitted assault by beating in Oxford on March 12. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 costs.
  • Abdou Touray, 28, of Havelock Road, Oxford, convicted of causing actual bodily harm in Botley on March 3. Given two years’ supervision and told to attend a domestic-violence programme for 10 days. Also told to pay £100 compensation and £200 costs.
  • Nathan Cushnie, 26, of Blacknall Road, Abingdon, admitted possessing cannabis (Class B) in Abingdon on October 29. Given a 12-month conditional discharge.
  • Bryan Pease, 60, of Sherwood Avenue, Abingdon, admitted drink driving in Vineyard, Abingdon, on May 9. Had 135 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a year’s supervision and 160 hours’ unpaid work. Also told to pay £35 costs and banned from driving for 40 months.
  • Paul Armstrong, 32, of Minchery Road, Oxford, admitted two counts of assault by beating on August 16. Jailed for three months.
  • Matek Mikunda, 19, of Hill Crescent, Finstock, admitted driving without insurance in Witan Way, Witney, on August 17. Fined £110, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Given six penalty points.
  • David Reid, 43, of Green Hill, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Speedwell Street, Oxford, and possession of an imitation firearm, an imitation revolver, off Donnington Bridge Road, Oxford, on August 15. Given a 10-week curfew. Also told to pay £85 costs.
  • Marek Stofej, 35, of Linacre Close, Didcot, admitted two counts of sexually assaulting a woman over the age of 16 and one of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Didcot on May 25 and May 29. Given an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for a year, with nine months’ supervision. Told to pay £100 compensation to each victim and £85 costs. Placed on the sex offender register for seven years.
  • Adam Bennett, 29, of Harrowby Road, Banbury, admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent in West Street, Banbury, on August 7. Fined £50, a £15 victims’ surcharge, £85 costs and £5 compensation.
  • Dominic Brown, 38, of Leon Close, Oxford, admitted shoplifting food valued at £17.48 from Co-op in Cowley Road, Oxford, on July 21; failing to surrender to court bail on August 15 and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Manzil Way, Oxford, on July 19. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £40 costs and £17.48 compensation.
  • Stephen Cooney, 43, of Henry Taunt Close, Oxford, admitted shoplifting two cans of Red Bull valued at £3.50 from W H Smith in Cornmarket Street, Oxford, on June 25. Fined £100, a £15 victims’ surcharge, £85 costs and £3.50 compensation.
  • Daniel Henstridge, 23, of Maidcroft Road, Oxford, convicted of causing unnecessary suffering to a cat by failing to provide veterinary care in respect of an injury to the cat’s head, which became infected and was affecting the animal’s eye in Prunus Close, Oxford, between December 19 and January 2. Also admitted failing to surrender to court bail on June 29. Given 200 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £250 costs.
  • Ayesha Saunders, 20, of Kempson Crescent, Littlemore, convicted of causing unnecessary suffering to a cat by failing to provide veterinary care in respect of an injury to the cat’s head which became infected and was affecting the animal’s eye in Prunus Close, Oxford, between December 19 and January 2. Also admitted failing to surrender to court bail on June 29. Given a two-month curfew daily and told to pay £250 costs.
  • David Osei, 37, of Fettiplace Road, Oxford, admitted four counts of making a false statement by declaring he was a full-time student in receipt of student loan and grants with a view to obtaining a benefit from Oxford City Council on March 26, 2010; June 9, 2009; February 27, 2009; and May 9, 2011. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £150 costs.
  • Dale Good, 18, of Emperor Gardens, Oxford, convicted of resisting PC Liam Busby in the execution of his duty in Oxford on March 25. Given a nine-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 costs.
  • Joe Jofirisi, 19, of King Walk, Didcot, admitted criminally damaging a car Renault Clio car door valued £802.29 at in Park Road, Didcot, on June 16. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £200 compensation and £85 costs.
  • Karl Kuhne, 34, of Jerome Way, Shipton-on-Cherwell, admitted being drunk and disorderly in The Motte, Abingdon, on July 26. Also admitted breach a conditional discharge by committing a further offence. Fined £70, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £35 costs.

BANBURY

  • Tariq Mudassar, 39, of Oxford Road, Banbury, admitted being in charge of a motor vehicle causing an unnecessary obstruction in the road in Lambs Crescent, Banbury, on March 1. Fined £150, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Danny Rayson, 21, of Skimmingdish Lane, Bicester, admitted assault by beating and criminally damaging a television in Banbury on July 8. Jailed for eight weeks.
  • Farzana Koasar, 34, of Goodrington Close, Banbury, admitted drink driving in Wimbourne Avenue, Banbury, on June 14. Had 114 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a six-month alcohol-treatment programme with a year’s supervision. Told to pay £85 costs and banned from driving for two years.
  • Ian Manly, 24, of Woodfield, Banbury, admitted wilfully obstructing a police constable in the execution of his duty in Banbury on February 16. Fined £100, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
  • Kevin Ward, 43, of Merton Walk, Bicester, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Wedgwood Road, Bicester, on July 30. Fined £200, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Lee Buckley, 35, of no fixed address, admitted shoplifting two bottles of vodka valued at £37.48 from Co-op in Kidlington on August 14. Jailed for 12 weeks due to “long offending history and offence committed shortly after licence expired”.
