PLANS for a new multi-million pound entrance to the John Radcliffe Hospital have been recommended for approval by Oxford City Council .
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs the JR, wants a new reception area for the main hospital entrance with shops, a cafe and a glass atrium.
Included in the proposal are also plans to redesign access roads.
It is planned that the scheme will bridge the space between the main hospital and the Women’s Centre.
The £3m-£4m scheme will be discussed at a meeting of the city council’s east area planning committee at 6pm on Thursday.
