Sir – Do you have some spare time on your hands? Would you like to make a difference for heart patients living in your area and help fund groundbreaking research?

Would you like to meet new friends? If the answer is yes and you live in Bicester and the surrounding area, then why not join other local people to form a British Heart Foundation (BHF) Bicester fundraising group, or set one up with your friends, family or work colleagues?

The nation’s heart charity is urgently appealing for support for its Mending Broken Hearts (MBH) Oxford Appeal, which will go towards funding Professor Paul Riley at the University of Oxford , one of the BHF’s four Centres of Research Excellence. In February last year, the BHF launched their MBH Appeal, a huge research project which aims to literally mend broken hearts within a lifetime, something that human hearts cannot currently do. Professor Riley will be leading the team in this research. If you would like to start up a well-supported Bicester fundraising group or just find out more information please contact me, Rachel Davis, fundraising volunteer manager, BHF Oxfordshire on 07879 440 415 or email davisr@bhf.org.uk
