THE Birmingham War Research Society is a voluntary organisation run by retired police officer, Alex Bulloch MBE, who has been taking people to famous battlefield sites in Europe for 40 years. On September 20 we will be travelling to Dover, and then on to Arnhem for our annual visit to commemorate the famous World War II battle for Arnhem.
It is a beautiful place with lots of interesting museums and much to see and do.
The Dutch people are incredibly friendly and hospitable and welcome British visitors warmly.
We are visiting Arnhem Bridge, the commemorative parachute drop at Ginkel Heath and two major museums, as well as the official service on the Sunday at Oosterbeek. There are places left for the five-day, four-night tour.
Please call Alex on 0121 459 9008 or visit www.alexbulloch.org.uk
