Could it be that Thames Water affords preferential treatment to Abingdon when it comes to water leaks?
When Michael Dean reported a leak in a street in Abingdon, it took only a few days for blue lines to be painted on the road (Oxford Mail, August 27). I reported a leak in Wantage on June 26 and we’re still waiting for our blue lines even though one of their technicians confirmed the leak nearly two months ago.
The water is still running down Locks Lane.
Perhaps it’s more profitable for Thames Water to increase their charges rather than fix the leaks.
