A WITNEY woman will hold a fundraising event on Saturday to raise money for the charity that helped her grandson.

Pamela Evans’ grandson, Garvey, was diagnosed with a brain tumour 18 months ago, when he was 11 years old.

His family, from Cornwall, were provided with a place to stay by charity CLIC Sargent while he received treatment in Bristol.

Garvey celebrated his 13th birthday on Wednesday and received his last chemotherapy treatment the following day.

The fundraising event will feature sales of books, gifts, toys, knitted goods, plants, cakes and jewellery to raise cash for CLIC Sargent .

It will take place at High Street Methodist Church from 10am to 5pm.
