Music fans took over Woodstock town centre for a weekend of exciting entertainment.

A total of 18 bands performed on an outdoor stage outside the town hall during the Woodstock Live festival on Saturday and Sunday.

The free festival has once again been hailed as a great success by organisers.

Co-ordinator Chris Baylis said: “It was the best-attended festival so far. Even on the Saturday the damp weather didn’t seem to put people off.

“I would say we had between 2,000 and 3,000 visitors, which was really good.”

Regular festival-goer Rosie Wait, 23, took her 10-month-old daughter Isabella along for her first festival experience.

She said: “She had a great time. She had a little boogie on my shoulders.

“I go every year, it’s a really nice thing to do.”

Bands performing at the event included Million Faces, Cooper Black, KingB and 1000 Mile Highway.

Profits from the bar help to cover the costs of staging the festival.
