A 21-year-old man was left unconscious after he was assaulted in Oxford on a night out.
He was walking home with a friend in George Street at around 2.25am today.
When the pair turned into Chain Alley, the victim became involved in an “altercation” with another man, who was with a group of men and women.
The man was hit and knocked to the floor, and was left unconscious. He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with serious but not-life-threatening head injuries.
The attacker is described as white, around 5fit 10ins tall and was wearing a dark top and dark trousers.
