THERE is no doubt where these pictures were taken.
Teachers sensibly arranged for the name and class of the school to be chalked on a blackboard and prominently displayed by one of the pupils.
The pictures show class II at Cowley Infants’ School and Class VI at Cowley Junior School in the late 1920s and early 1930s.
The pictures come from Cyril Claridge, of Hockmore Street, Cowley, who features in both.
