Sir, I was interested to read Katrina Warren's letter (September 22). I too have had similar problems.
Returning to Oxfordshire after a few years' absence, I naturally tried to re-register with my previous doctor and dentist (in Charlbury). No problem with the doctor, but the dentist said he was no longer doing NHS work. He didn't suggest anyone else who did, and I certainly can't afford private dentistry. So the consequence is that I am still registered with my old dentist 100 miles away in Sussex - which is ridiculous. Is Oxfordshire a particularly bad county in this respect? If so, why?
