A SERIES of consultation exhibitions on where new housing should be built in Didcot begins next Monday.
South Oxfordshire District Council, the Vale of White Horse District Council and Oxfordshire County Council, are running a public consultation on the 3,000 new homes destined for Didcot under the South East Plan.
The exhibitions will focus on how the additional homes should be divided between the two districts. Visitors will be able to find out what factors influence the location of the homes and invited to give their views on the priorities.
The new housing will be built between 2016 and 2026. The exhibitions will take place in Didcot and neighbouring villages from Monday until November 20.
Council staff will be present to answer questions. The councils say that people's views will be received up until until November 24 and taken into account in the decision making process. More information is available on each council's website.
The exhibitions take place in Didcot, at the former tourist information office, on October 30, 31 and November 20; in Appleford village hall on November 1; at Harwell's Freeman Hall on November 3; at the village hall in North Moreton on November 6; at Milton Heights Primary School on November 10; at East Hagbourne village hall on November 16, and at Long Wittenham village hall on November 18 from 10am until 4.30pm.
All meetings will be held between 3pm and 8pm apart from Long Wittenham.
