Iain Pinder hit a last-minute winner to give Vale of White Horse Under 11s a 2-1 victory over Sutton in a dramatic finish to their County League opener.
Sutton had equalised two minutes from time through Myles Henry in the clash at the Oxford Brookes Westminster Institute of Education.
But Vale went straight back down the other end and Laurence Lilley passed James Clarke's centre on for Pinder to blast a shot past Jack Bolt.
It completed a brace for Pinder, who had given Vale a third-minute lead after running on to Conor Ingram's through ball.
Captain Oliver Taylor hit a hat-trick as Vale of White Horse Under 13s opened their season with a 4-1 win over Wellingborough & Rushden at King Alfred's, Wantage.
Ben Whitehead put Vale ahead, and then Taylor opened his account.
Vale's skipper notched his second early in the second half and, after Wellingborough pulled one back, he completed his hat-trick.
