St John the Evangelist (Carterton) are celebrating their first sporting success after winning the Mid Oxon final of the ESFA Under 11 Girls' six-a-side competition.
The school was only opened four years ago, but St John showed they have made giant strides by taking the honours at the Sports Ground, Monahan Way.
Twelve schools took part in the competition, and St John beat previous winners West Kidlington 1-0 in the final.
Now they go forward to the Oxfordshire final, where they will be joined by Goring and Thomas Reade (Abingdon), who qualified from the Vale of White Horse East and West finals respectively.
Rush Common (Abingdon) pipped St Swithun's A (Kennington) 1-0 in the Vale of White Horse West final of the ESFA Under 11 Boys seven-a-side competition.
In the semi-finals, of the tournament at Our Lady's Convent (Abingdon), Rush Common beat Appleton 1-0.
