Our councillors have again bowed to the minority. They have installed yet another set of traffic lights at the Eynsham turn.

So let's look at what's going on.

You enter the main A40 at the BMW garage at the end of Woodstock Road, Oxford. You have to stop at Cassington, not once but twice, then we have a roundabout, and now another set of lights. Whom do our councillors think they are helping?

Surely not the majority of people using the road because they are trying to get along it, not stop and admire the view?

I doubt there is a calculation of the amount of fossil fuel wasted by motorists and the amount of pollution cars give off.

I would have thought the majority would rule, and getting thousands of vehicles moving along the road must be a priority.

I don't suppose people going to work mind being a little late, but coming home, people like to get home, not sit still for ages and ages, getting frustrated. There is no point having a speed camera along the first stretch - no-one can go fast enough.

Once, there was talk of the A40 being made into a dual carriageway, yet there is still no progress, and still the poor old motorist who pays millions in fuel duty has to suffer.

Shame on our councillors for bowing to the pressure of the minority who use the road. By the way, I ride a motorbike along it.
