TWO men were robbed at knifepoint while walking along a lane in North Hinksey.
They were walking along Willow Walk, when they were stopped by two youths on cycles at about 7pm on Monday.
The youths held out a large knife, which could possibly be a cleaver' knife and demanded the men give them their wallets. Taking a wallet, the two youths made off on their cycles, one of which was a BMX, in the direction of McDonald's.
Investigating officer PC Chris Leech said: "At this time of day there were plenty of people around that may have seen the incident happening or the two youths on their bikes and I would ask that anyone with any information get in touch."
Police said one of the offenders had dark-tanned skin, was about 16 to 18 years old and about 5ft 8in tall. He was wearing a light coloured hooded top. The other was stocky, white, about 18 years old, 5ft 8in tall and was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top.
Anyone with any information about the incident should contact PC Leech at Abingdon police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you do not want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
