CHILDREN put their best foot forward yesterday to raise money for an Ethiopian school.
Run Jericho saw hundreds of runners pound the streets in a 10K run and a fun run for children through Worcester College and the area.
Run Jericho was first held last year to raise money for St Barnabas Primary School’s library and to pay for a librarian.
This year’s event also raised cash for Bekoji, the so-called ‘town of runners’ in Ethiopia, for a school library.
Organiser Quinn Bailey said: “It was amazing, the weather held and lots of people came. There were some really great runs.
“The children did amazingly well.”
“We also had some really little ones there.”
The event – which took in Port Meadow and the Oxford Canal – raised about £7,000.
