ONE lane of the southbound M40 remains closed after an accident.
Fire crews were called at around 5.20am after reports that an HGV had been involved in a collision between junction 11 for Banbury and junction 10 for Brackley.
All three lanes were shut while recovery work took place but lanes two and three were reopened just before 10am.
It is believed the lorry's fuel tank ruptured and caused a spillage around half a mile before junction 10.
Traffic was queuing around 1.5miles at 12pm.
