THERE were smiles all round as the winners of our Baby of the Year competition claimed their prizes.

The Oxford Mail contest attracted 446 entries this year, but six-month-old Isabella Charlett from Headington won the readers’ hearts.

She was officially named Baby of the Year and will now enjoy a £1,000 holiday with parents Daisy Fleetwood and Craig Charlett.

Mum and baby visited the Flight Centre in Queen Street, Oxford, to claim their prizes.

Daisy, 25, an office administrator at the Churchill Hospital in Headington, said: “It was lovely, we were really impressed with the picture we got.

“It looks really great. I’m just waiting for my partner to put it up but it will take pride of place in the front room.”

The first prize was a £1,000 holiday from Flight Centre, a family ticket to Legoland, a trophy and the framed portrait.

Miss Fleetwood added: “We think we are going to use the flight vouchers and go to the Canary Islands.

“It will be nice to tell Isabella in the future that she won her own first family holiday abroad.”

The runners-up in the contest were Harry Trueman in the 0-9 months category, Carlito McMahon-Thomas, in the 19-36 month group and Jenson Goodgame in the 19- to 36-month category.

All the runners-up received £100, a trophy and a framed portrait, along with a family ticket to Legoland.
