At last common sense has prevailed and the Cogges Link Road has been turned down (Oxford Mail, June 16).
Let us hope that Oxfordshire County Council takes defeat in good grace and allows work to start on the slip roads at Shores Green as soon as possible This may not be the complete answer to Witney’s traffic problems but in conjunction with the proposed junction at Downs Road it will be a very good start.
