German company Proteros biostructures, based in Munich, has opened a UK office at the Oxford Science Park.
Co-founded by Nobel Laureate Professor Dr Robert Huber, the company's main offices are based in Martinsried, the suburb of Munich that boasts the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry.
Since 1998, Proteros has been offering expertise and technologies to improve the productivity of drug discovery, through research services, product sales and licensing.
Proteros has a broad client base, with more than 150 completed projects, and collaborations with more than 25 international pharmaceutical, biotech and agro-chemical companies.
Gordon Woodrow, vice-president of business development, said: "The Oxford Science Park is the ideal location for Proteros to broaden its European horizons.
"Not only does the Park provide a superb working environment, but there is also a vibrant local biotech sector, in which Proteros is keen to get involved."
