Sir – Our local councils are regularly the recipients of a great deal of moaning from those they serve, often conducted through the medium of your letters page. So, I thought it only appropriate that I should give them praise when I feel it’s due!
I live in Kidlington and work in Yarnton, commuting between the two by bicycle. Over the last few months, the council has resurfaced a large portion of Sandy Lane — the Yarnton to Kidlington Road — and also installed a crossing on the busy A44 at Yarnton. The end result? My journey to and from work is now safer, quicker and more comfortable than it used to be. I’d like to offer my sincere thanks to all concerned.
Chris Day (Mr), Kidlington
