THEY have come from all over the world to end up making their home in Oxford.
Now thanks to a ground-breaking project at Fusion Arts, they are being encouraged to share their stories.
Inside Out, Outside In, is a three-year project using storytelling to inspire imagination, express experiences and share cultural traditions, both at free workshops at Fusion in Prince Street, East Oxford, and at Campsfield House detention centre, Kidlington.
Storytellers Gauri Raje and Sef Townsend have been leading sessions to help the people taking part share their stories. A women only workshop was also held at Fusion earlier this month.
Mr Townsend said: “ “We have been working with people, some of whom have come into this country as immigrants and refugees and have found their status as asylum seekers.
“Then there are the people in Campsfield who have quite a different experience, some of whom may be asked to leave the country.
The next session is on Tuesday, July 10. To book a place call 01865 245735.
