AN OXFORD picture gallery is celebrating the arrival of the Olympics with an exhibition.
Christ Church Picture Gallery is exhibiting more than 30 drawings that celebrate the beauty of the human form as well as pay tribute to the Olympic ideals.
The drawings are from Christ Church’s permanent collection and created by Renaissance and Baroque artists.
Curator Jacqueline Thalmann said: “It is based on the idea that heroes and gods didn’t need to wear clothes and their bodies and muscles could be shown without embarrassment.”
The exhibition will be on show until Monday, October 15. Entry for adults is £3 and concessions are £2.
