Oxford's Town Hall was evacuated this evening after the fire alarm sounded.
The west area planning committee was interrupted at around 7.10pm, after a debate about plans to extend the opening hours of the 02 Academy in Cowley Road.
Councillors and staff gathered on St Aldate's and a fire engine was called.
The public hall was reopened at 7.30pm.The disruption was caused by an alarm system fault.
