I WOULD like to see a list published of the names and achievements of those privileged bearers who will soon carry the Olympic Flame through Oxfordshire and the distance and location of their particular participation.
The crowds that will gather to cheer on this spectacle would then be properly advised about the actual British people involved and maybe show what they think of the sponsor-enforced American presence among the torch-bearers by their absence on the relevant sections of the route.
That action may show Lord Coe and his Olympic organising committee of the displeasure and disappointment of some of the more deserving would-be UK bearers.
