Armed police officers stopped a BMW in Thames Street and arrested the occupants this evening.
The incident happened at around 6pm, when the black vehicle was stopped by Thames Valley Police.
Inspector Nick Park said: “There was an arrest because of the potential threat from the occupants. Armed units were deployed.”
Inspector Park said he was unable to provide more details or on whether those arrested were from the area.
He did confirm that sightings of the Thames Valley Police helicopter at the time were in connection with the same incident.
