So Oxford City Council spokesman Louisa Dean resorts to saying that “research has shown” that providing homeless people with a hot meal once a week “encourages rough sleeping” (Friday’s Oxford Mail).
Of course it does, just like voting means the electorate has every faith in self-serving politicians, even at the local level.
