WITH exams looming, the rain pouring and a return to lessons after a week off, it could have been a depressing start to the last part of the school year at Oxford Spires Academy.
But a bunch of intrepid musical pupils put on an impromptu busking session to cheer up their classmates during the lunch hour on Monday.
Among those providing music was Year 13 pupil Marus Islam, 18, from Blackbird Leys, who played the guitar.
He said: “The response was really good, the kids joined in and they seemed to enjoy it.”
Marie-Jo Lapuz, 18, said: “I like singing in front of the young kids and just inspiring them.
“It’s quite miserable with the weather and half-term ending, so it’s a good thing to get everyone together.”
