Hundreds of people poured into Banbury’s Spiceball Park for the annual Banbury and District Show on Sunday.
Visitors enjoyed attractions including battlefield re-enactments, dog shows, circus skill workshops, quad biking and falconry displays.
There were fears the Rotary and Round Table event would not take place after last year’s was hit by rain.
But Banbury Town Council stepped in to underwrite the show and scrapped entry fees.
Victoria Kirkwood visited with her family, including children Violet, six, and Kyle, four.
The Banbury resident said: “We had an absolutely fantastic time.
“Violet was over the moon meeting the Saxon warriors, but Kyle was a bit more shy.
“It was a really nice family fun day. It was very laid-back and the amount of people there we thought was fantastic.”
