Oxford City should have won their British Gas Business Southern League Division 1 South & West clash against Paulton Rovers at Court Place Farm on Tuesday night by a clear margin, but were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw.

Early on, Mark Jones missed a good chance and Mark Avery's effort was cleared off the line.

City enjoyed most of the possession, but didn't create enough opportunities, although Danny Keen had arguably the best chance after a good cross from Harry Burnley.

But on 54 minutes, City lost keeper Carl Wilkins who, in making a decent stop from Nick Bunyard's shot, twisted his ankle in the process, and was replaced in goal by Greg Williams.

With 74 minutes gone, City broke the deadlock when Lewis Craker scored from close range in a crowded goalmouth.

It looked as though City were heading for the three points, especially as Williams was not called upon to make a save.

But out of the blue, with six minutes remaining, Mark Harrington drove into the top corner to rescue Paulton a point.

Oxford City produced a disappointing display on Saturday encounter and can have no complaints about their 3-1 defeat by Brook House City had an early chance when Alex Stewart drove wide from Anthony Alleyne's pass But on 20 minutes, Brook House took the lead when McCloughlin drove just inside the far post.

Six minutes later, City equalised as a cross from Greg Williams found Stewart, who picked his spot with a header.

In the 31st minute, City fell behind again when Greg Homer was allowed to turn and drive in through a crowded goalmouth following a corner.

The visitors continued to make hard work of it in the second period, lacking any penetration to cause the home side problems.

And Brook House sealed it in the 57th minute when a 20-yard free-kick from Hale went through the defensive wall.
