Cash was stolen from tills at the Sainsbury’s supermarket in the Orchard Centre, Didcot, after burglars forced open a fire door.
An alarm sounded when the door was opened at about 8pm on Wednesday.
Police said an unknown amount of cash was stolen.
Anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area should call Pc Dan Harris on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
