The driver of a minibus which overturned on the M40 north of Banbury at the weekend, injuring 16 people, has been arrested.
Police confirmed a 33-year-old man, from Oldham, in Greater Manchester, was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of dangerous driving and of driving not in accordance with his licence. He was later released on bail until June 30.
The minibus overturned shortly after 3pm on the southbound carriageway between junction 12 at Gaydon and 11 at Banbury.
The driver and 15 passengers were taken to six hospitals, including Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital and The Horton in Banbury.
