Further to my letter (Oxford Mail, June 6), I have discovered that the League of Friends made just over £1m profit last year and donated it all to hospital funds.

If Carillion was doing its hospital management correctly it should be spending its time managing the hospital funds better than squealing out that the League of Friends should pay £25,000 a year rent for the small space it uses to provide first class cafe services to visitors and staff on well-earned breaks.

The management at Carillion are obviously only concerned with themselves making enormous profits to satisfy their shareholders.

The hospital would be better off running its own affairs and Carillion sent back to its own country.
