It may have been wild and windy elsewhere but the sun shone on Chadlington for its annual beer festival.
The West Oxfordshire event, at the village’s Memorial Hall, is a fundraiser for Chadlington Primary School and is now in its ninth year.
As well as a selection of 22 ales, families enjoyed a barbecue, live music, a bouncy castle, face-painting and games.
Among those tasting the beers on offer was villager David Mackenzie with fiancée Kay Ellerington and friend Anna Stracey, pictured right.
Mr Mackenzie, 33 said: “I’m having a very good day. It’s brilliant, it seems like the whole village is out here. Everyone is out on the grass and on hay bales.”
Tracey Cooper, from Shipton-under-Wychwood, brought along children, Anna, three, in main picture, James, five, and friend Rebecca Chilcot, three.
Mrs Cooper said: “It was just such a nice atmosphere, full of families sitting around and chatting.
“It’s quite small and intimate but not too crowded and the children liked it.”
