UK shoe manufacturer Hotter Comfort Concept has created 10 new jobs in Oxford after opening a city centre store.
Hotter Shoes, which creates about 1.5m pairs of shoes a year at its Lancashire factory, opened in Queen Street on Saturday.
The company has opened 20 new shoe stores across the UK in the past two years and plans to open another 20 by the end of 2012.
Store manager Yamini Davies said: “We are delighted to be bringing British designed, comfortable and quality shoes to Oxford while creating 10 new jobs.
“I am proud to say we have a really enthusiastic and dedicated team here and we are looking forward to welcoming new customers, giving them great service and shoes that will make their feet happy.”
The firm has celebrated the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and 2012 London Olympics by creating a ‘Great British Shoe’.
