NINE-YEAR-OLD Pat Johnson, from Bayworth, was pictured with her sister Margaret next to a celebratory cake baked by their mother, Dorothy Taylor, for the Coronation in 1953.

Now a 69-year-old grandmother, Mrs Johnson said: “We have since made the cake again every Jubilee and we’ve taken pictures of every one.

“We’ve baked it again this year, using the same recipe we still have from Women’s Illustrated. And we’ll take it to the village celebrations.”
