THE Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker Bowles, is to become patron of the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford, it was announced today.
The centre provides services for those with orthopaedic, rheumatology and disability needs.
Lord Tebbit, president of the centre's appeal charity, said: "Her interests in osteoporosis are well known and her support will be invaluable for all the clinical and research developments taking place at this time."
Joanna Foster, chairman of the hospital, said: "We are delighted and honoured that the Duchess has accepted our invitation to become our patron. Her keen interest in our work is very inspiring."
