Having read about the expected succession of Ian Hudspeth to the Oxfordshire County leadership, I can’t help thinking have those who voted turned into goldfish with a very short-term memory span, Wasn’t this the same guy who was responsible for the Green Road roundabout farce and the 20mph fiasco to name but two decisions that wasted phenomenal amounts of taxpayers’ money for little or no gain?
Keith Mitchell got rid of him when he challenged for the leadership.
I suspect that ratification of him as new leader could cost the Tory Party dearly at the ballot box.
As a long-term Tory voter at national and county level, if not at local city level, I would certainly question my voting ‘loyalty’ to the party.
The most worrying question is why was the voting for the new leader secret?
Surely this is not democracy in action.
If they can’t trust each other, why should we trust them?
