AN OXFORD art gallery has revealed its royal flush.
Paintings by the Prince of Wales are going on show at The Meller Merceux Gallery in High Street.
The month-long exhibition boasts 15 signed limited edition lithographs based on Prince Charles’ watercolours of landscapes.
Gallery director Aidan Meller said: “We have been going for 13 years and have never had a show like this one.
“Everybody has it in mind that Prince Charles is just an amateur and he always says he is, but when you look at these you realise he is just being humble.”
His paintings capture landscapes ranging from Windsor Castle and Balmoral to the Swiss ski resort of Klosters.
Also on display are original etchings by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, as well as a silver apple commissioned by Diana, Princess of Wales on occasion of her 1989 trip to New York.
