Children from SS Philip and James Primary School, North Oxford, put on a puppet show with marionettes they had created themselves.
Among the puppeteers was Mimi Morley Iszatt, aged nine. She said: “Puppet club is really fun, I especially like making the puppets because you can make crazy characters, and give them wild hair and funky outfits.
“This time we even went to a recording studio at the Ark T and recorded our parts, that bit was really cool.
“Everyone liked our show ‘Open Sesame’, but it was really tricky because we had to make a cave that opened and closed.”
The Phil and Jim Puppet Theatre Company performed the show, which is based on the tale of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, at Barefoot Books, Summertown, on March 21.
