DIDCOT pensioner Geoffrey Jackson is taking part in a 10km run at the home of TV series Downton Abbey to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK.
Mr Jackson, 82, is taking part in the fundraiser at Highclere Castle near Newbury to raise money for the charity which funds research into Parkinson’s Disease.
He said: “People never believe my age when l tell them, but l just love running and I guess it helps to keep me young.
“I’ve been training with the Didcot Runners Club. There are about four of us who will be taking part and we’ve been training at least three times a week.”
Parkinson’s UK Run at Highclere Castle takes place on Sunday, April 29, at 10.30am. For details, visit parkinsons.org.uk/highclere
