Following the success of their main stage debut last year with Canterbury Tales, Oxford Playhouse Young Company 16|22 presents George Orwell’s Animal Farm, for three performances tomorrow and Saturday.
George Orwell’s timeless story of rebellion, power, idealism and greed is brought to life by 16|22 in a contemporary adaptation of the novel by Ian Wooldridge.
From the scheming pigs Squealer and Napoleon, wise donkey Benjamin, to kind-hearted horse Clover and faithful Boxer, each of Orwell’s famous animal characters is presented using original choreography and specially composed music.
Animal Farm will showcase the young talent of Oxford brought together in Oxford Playhouse’s Young Company of members aged between 16 and 22, in a fresh interpretation of a classic tale.
