BLENHEIM Palace is set for an all-American extravaganza this summer.
The world heritage site near Woodstock will be playing host to the Rally of the Giants, a car show which brings a bit of the United States to West Oxfordshire.
More than 400 classic American vehicles will descend on Blenheim on Sunday, July 29. The cars themselves will date from the 1920s all the way through to the cars of the 1970s.
Trucks, military vehicles and bikes will also feature in the car show which attracts visitors from all over Europe.
Last year’s event attracted about 4,000 car enthusiasts.
Alan Murphy is president of The Pre 50 All American Auto Club which organises the show.
He said: “I am delighted at our move to Blenheim Palace. It was the prestige of the place which made us move here”
Until last year the event used to be held in Hertfordshire.
